Reiki Attunements: with Jane Crowe
To our knowledge, Reiki cannot be self-learned. It is necessary to have Reiki activated by a Reiki Master/Teacher who will attune the individual to the universal energy.Reiki is a very simple technique to learn and does not require prior experience of healing, meditation or any other kind of training. It has been successfully learned by over one million people from all walks of life, both young and old, all around the world. The ability to give Reiki is simply transferred from Reiki Master/Teacher to student through a process called an Attunement.
During the Attunement, the Reiki Master touches the student’s head, shoulders, and hands causing the attunement energies to flow into the student. These special energies make adjustments in the student’s energy pathways and connect the student to the Source of Reiki. The Reiki energy then adjusts itself to be exactly right for each student. Some students feel warmth in their hands, others may see colors or relax into a very serene state of mind. However, it is not necessary to have any such experience for the Attunement to work. Most people simply feel a sense of calm and well-being.
As soon as you receive the Attunement, you have the ability to give Reiki to yourself, friends and family.
The next Level I training date will be:
Saturday 11 September 2010 .
To practice professionally you must receive the Level II Attunement
so you can be properly insured.
Once you receive your first Attunement
the ability to give Reiki remains with you for the rest of your life.
Attunements and training in the use of Reiki are usually carried out on a one-to-one basis or in small groups with a maximum of 5 participants.
There are three levels of Reiki for the practitioner:
Level 1 Attunement
Includes the following:
A brief history of Reiki as developed by Dr Mikao Usui
Introduction to working with energy and explanation of 'energy centres' or chakras
Description and discussion of the Reiki principles
Description and practice of basic hand positions for treating self
The Level I attunement
Discussion about how to use the Reiki energy
Discussion about treating others respectfully and ethically
This requires a full day of training for which the charge is £150.00 (£120 concessions).
A £50 deposit is required at time of booking.

Level II Attunement
Level II adds greater power to your ability to channel Reiki and introduces the use of Reiki symbols. This is usually undertaken at least three months after Level I to allow enough time to assimilate the energy.
Level II Attunement includes the following:
Introduction to 3 Reiki symbols and one other
Discussion of how and when to use the symbols
Practice using the symbols
Practice of advanced hand positions and chakra balancing when treating others
Level II attunement
Discussion and advice about practicing professionally
This requires a full day of training for which the charge is £150.00 (£120.00 concessions).
A £50 deposit is required at time of booking.
The next Level II training dates will be:

Reiki Master AttunementThe final level of Attunement is Reiki Master. This should only be undertaken at least one year after receiving Level II. It is a very personal journey and the training is always carried out on a one-to-one basis.There are two possible Reiki Master options:to learn and be attuned to the final Reiki symbol for the amplification of your use of Reiki with yourself and others. This option could be completed in a relatively short time and entitles you to be known as a Reiki Master.
in addition to the above, to learn the sacred process of attuning others and how to be a Reiki Master/Teacher. This option requires a great deal of commitment in time and energy. The training may take many weeks to complete.
